Whats Next ?

There have been many times in my life that I have asked God “Whats Next”.  Sometimes it is out of pure despairation and other times it is from pure excitement.  For the longest time I believed that I shouldnt question God.  What kind of relationship is that?  How do you learn if questions are not being asked?  I love it when my son asks me questions and I get excited because he is wanting to learn things.  Is the absence of questions a lack of passion or contentment with complacency?  This question is not a general question but one I have to ask myself in my pursuit of Christ.  Even though God does things for us when we dont even ask for it, I believe, in my own life, that the more passionate I am the more questions I ask.  Is the Bible erelevant if we dont have questions?  What good is the Holy Spirit if we dont have questions?  The Bible was written for direction.  The Holy Spirit was sent to us for guidance.  The only way we will pursue answers is to have questions.

Many times I feel as if my questions are silly or trivial.  Can I question and still have faith?  Have you ever believed your questions are too big for God to answer or too insignificant for Him to care about?

WOW I was blown away!

I recently returned from Camp WOW, and I have to say that I learned alot about what I am not and about what students are.  I attended camp with around 90 adult leaders and about 900 campers, all from Life Church.  I dont think anyone left there without learning a little about themselves.  I was amazed at the desire students have to open and share there lives with others, especially adults, as long as there is an environment of trust and compassion.  What changes in us from the time we are a student to the time we are an adult that makes it harder for us to open up to others?    If we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

My prayer is that students take the empowerment in their spiritual high to lead them in continuing to follow the decision they made.  No one can do this without support and prayer.  How can you encourage our students to persevere in their decision as the school year begins?  As adults our experience is great to reflect on as we encourage our students.

We have an amazing opportunity to be a part of these students lifes and it is a great blessing to love and be loved by these students.  Praise the Lord for them and their hearts to serve Him.
